Designed to conquer any terrain with ease, the product features a 7/8-inch hard chromed shaft and a redundant seal pack that stand up to harsh conditions and promise a long service life. Riders can fine-tune their experience with the Dual Speed Compression (DSC) settings, adjusting the shock damping to fit both terrain and personal riding style. The wide-range rebound adjustments and the preload collar allow for further customization of traction and ride height, respectively. These shocks boast 2.5-inch diameter aluminum bodies that not only shed heat efficiently but also increase internal oil volume for improved damping control, courtesy of Fox’s high-flow pistons developed from racing insights. The addition of a piggyback reservoir enlarges the oil capacity and employs an internal floating piston to maintain separation between the nitrogen charge and shock oil. For tougher rides, the bottom-out control (BOC) enhances compression damping during the most demanding impacts, ramping up damping force by as much as 30 percent in the final quarter of travel. With the Performance Elite Series 2.5 shocks, riders can expect a smooth ride that provides impressive compliance over small bumps while retaining the capacity to withstand heavy impacts.
