Dainese D-Air Long Sleeve Smart Jacket The Dainese Smart Jacket is like the life jacket of motorcycling – now with long sleeves and pockets. It harnesses MotoGP technology and minimizes it down to the necessary sensors, shield airbag and air canisters. The resulting vest is versatile enough to be worn under or over your gear, ensuring that you will always ride with an airbag prepared to deploy if you are ever in danger. The proprietary algorithm running in the Dainese Smart Jacket is able to activate without the need for a tether to your motorcycle. Note: Customers recommend ordering one size larger than your typical jacket size. Features: D-Air, MotoGP airbag technology Ventilated and breathable Sensor waterproofness 2 outer pockets Waist adjustable system CE level 2 armor at shoulders and elbows Seven on-board sensors Data is monitored 1,000 times per second Algorithm detects low-sides, high-sides and object/vehicle and rear-end collisions Collisions are detected even when stopped, e.g. rear-end collision at a stop light 26hr battery life No hard-shell parts – airbag provides protection only when needed Chest protection meets or exceeds CE Level 2 for airbags, transmitted force is <2.5kN Standard armor CE level 2 transmits <9kN so the airbag disperses over 3x more energy than its rigid counterpart Back protection meets or exceeds CE Level 1 for airbags, transmitted force is <4.5kN Standard armor CE level 1 transmits <18kN so the airbag disperses over 4x more energy than its rigid counterpart
