AXIAL AX2 Air Hip Armor The AX2 Air Hip Protector represents the pinnacle of AXIAL’s range of hip armor options. This protector stands out for its combination of CE2 level protection and a design optimized for maximum ventilation, making it ideal for hot weather conditions. Unlike its predecessor, the AX2, which uses AVP materials that harden upon impact, the AX2 Air employs a Newtonian material which ensures consistent performance no matter the angle or type of impact. It is noteworthy for being the thinnest CE2 rated hip armor on the market at just 10mm, effectively outperforming competitors such as D3O Ghost armor—used by brands like Icon, Klim, Rukka, and Merlin—which only meet the CE1 standard at 6.5mm, and even D3O’s own CE2 rated armor at 11mm. With its slim profile and enhanced breathability, the AX2 Air provides exceptional protection without the added bulk, ensuring both safety and comfort. Features: Meets the requirements of CE EN 1621-1:2012 Level 2 Ventilated hyper elastic injected PU polymer Lightweight, ergonomic design Impact energy is evenly dispersed Thinner and more well-ventilated than AX2 63% more ventilation than AX2 Sold as a pair Fit: Universal non gender fit AX2 Air is not specific to any brand and can be used in any brand of riding pants that has a pocket to add hip protectors Dimensions: 7.5″ x 5.25″ x . 45″
