Alpinestars SX-1 Plasma Knee Protectors The SX-1 Plasma Knee Protectors come equipped with an advanced Plasma Knee Protector, housed in a semi-rigid, highly ventilated frame for top-notch impact protection. Its integrated Dual Gear System (DGS) features gear profiles in the upper and lower frames, ensuring a smooth and natural movement that mimics the knee’s articulation. The protectors’ frames are ergonomically designed with both rigid and over-injected flexible shells, which adapt and secure comfortably around different leg sizes. The engineered Patella System ensures the knee cup remains fully covered at all levels of extension, while its outer shell is robust enough to prevent injuries from potential handlebar strikes. Crafted from USDA Certified Biobased viscoelastic materials, the SX-1 Plasma Knee Protectors are multidirectionally pliable, conforming closely to the knee and dispersing impact forces to provide steadfast protection. Designed with thoughtfulness for the rider’s comfort, these knee protectors feature a scooped lower extension made from a soft polymeric blend to eliminate the discomfort of pressure points created by the boot pressing against the protectors. This scooped design is mirrored on the upper extension, preventing the protectors from uncomfortably digging into the rider’s skin during use. Features: Lightweight knee protection with extensive protective coverage Upper and lower frames are constructed from a high-performance polymer for optimized levels of flexibility and strength as well as excellent weight-saving properties Upper and lower frames’ integrated dual pivot hinge system follows the natural movement of the knee and keeps the protector well positioned while riding Frames feature a slim ergonomic design Dual strap closure system features a hook-and-loop closure with snap-fit buckles for easy in and out and a personalized, secure fit Nucleon Plasma protectors constructed from USDA certified, biobased, eco-friendly and sustainable impact absorbing material Integrated Dual Gear System (DGS) promotes smooth articulation of the knee Patella System offers full coverage of the knee cup regardless of the degree of extension while the rigid outer Patella System shell prevents injuries from handlebar strikes According to European statutory law, the CE mark is a conformity requirement for the marketing of this product.
