The product features a resilient shell structure and a refined shape engineered to more effectively redirect impact energy, thereby reducing the force transmitted to the rider. The Variable Axis System (VAS) enhances this protective function with a downsized and repositioned side pod and pivot cover, elevating the helmet’s ability to deflect energy from oblique impacts. For additional rider comfort, the helmet is outfitted with a chin curtain that curtails air intrusion from below and boosts the exhaust ventilation’s efficacy by intensifying negative pressure. Inside, the helmet is lined with Arai’s trademark 5mm peel away padding at the ear pockets, which can be adjusted for fit or to make room for communication devices.
